Native of Missouri whose parents moved him to Dallas at the age of three. Graduate of Bryan Adams High School and the University of Texas at Austin, where he broadened his exposure to foreign and independent film thanks to numerous on-campus weekend screenings.

A fondness for the grand westerns of John Ford, Sam Peckinpah, Sergio Leone and Clint Eastwood has shaped his critical sensibilities; it's no wonder that landscape photography continues to be an avid hobby.
